2021年国际反垄断网络研讨会

The China Institute of International Antitrust and Investment (CIIAI) is currently planning to host two consecutive antitrust webinars on 9-10 November 2021, each one starting at 13:00 CET (19:00 China time).  These events, which will take place on the Zoom conferencing platform, are in anticipation of the end of the Covid-19 pandemic.  In a compact format, we will provide the latest antitrust developments in China, the EU and US.  

中国政法大学中国国际反垄断和投资研究中心将于2021年11月9日至10日在Zoom上连续举办两场国际反垄断网络研讨会，每场于欧洲中部时间13:00（北京时间19:00）开始，并就中国、欧盟和美国的最新反垄断发展集中进行讨论。

Large internet platforms such as Amazon, Facebook and Google are facing unprecedented global antitrust scrutiny.  This high-level panel will discuss why this is happening now, the analytical tools that are being deployed, whether these companies are likely to survive in their present form and whether this enforcement wave is a “one-off” or likely to spread to other sectors.

The focal point of this roundtable is the draft legislation in the US Congress relating to Big Tech as well as the Executive Order of President Biden published on 9 July, in which he called for more muscular antitrust enforcement across the board.  Our panelists will discuss what this could entail in terms of revised policies and international cooperation.
